PROCESS & COLLABORATION

  • Project timelines are planned in collaboration with each client’s production schedule. Depending on image volume, complexity, and campaign deadlines, we establish clear milestones for review and delivery before work begins. This ensures projects move efficiently while maintaining the level of precision and consistency our clients expect.

  • Yes. Rush services are available for time-sensitive projects and are scheduled based on current workload. Rush fees apply and are quoted upfront.

If something is truly urgent, we’ll be honest about whether it can be done well—not just quickly.

  • We provide organized previews for review, followed by final delivery once approved. Feedback is ideally consolidated to keep the process efficient and respectful of timelines.

For larger teams, we’re happy to work with a single point of contact to avoid version confusion.

  • Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, outlined before work begins. Revisions focus on refinement rather than reworking the entire image.

Additional revisions outside the original scope can be accommodated and billed accordingly.

  • Yes. Timelines can be adjusted depending on project stage and availability. We ask that changes be communicated as early as possible. Specific terms are outlined in project agreements to ensure fairness on both sides.

  • If work has begun, completed work and any reserved time are billable. Cancellation terms are outlined clearly in advance and depend on scope and timing.

  • All work is overseen by The Post Department’s founder and Lead Retoucher, Chancy. Chancy works directly on all talent, campaign, and editorial imagery, ensuring discretion and a highly personalized approach.

Our team of highly trained retouchers supports brand and e-commerce imagery, allowing for scale without sacrificing quality. Every image passes through Chancy for final quality inspection before delivery.

SECURITY & OWNERSHIP

  • Yes — always. Confidentiality is non-negotiable, especially when working with unreleased campaigns, public figures, or sensitive brand material.

  • All files are transferred using secure methods and stored in controlled, access-limited environments. Only authorized team members assigned to a project have access to client assets.

For sensitive or high-profile work, we can align with client or agency-specific security requirements and approval workflows.

  • Upon full payment, clients receive ownership of the final delivered images as specified in the project agreement. Working files, layered documents, and internal production materials remain the property of The Post Department and are not distributed.

Unless otherwise agreed upon or restricted by NDA, we reserve the right to feature completed work in our portfolio, website, or social media as examples of our work. By request, we can also provide image audits showing before-and-after comparisons of the retouching process.

  • Yes. We securely store project files for up to five years following final delivery to support continuity, updates, or re-exports. Extended storage can be discussed if needed.

  • Yes. We carry appropriate business insurance to protect both our clients and our work.

WORKING TOGETHER

  • Both. We regularly collaborate directly with photographers, art directors, stylists, and creative teams, or work solely through the client—whatever best supports the project.

Our role is to enhance creative intent, not override it.

  • Fit matters. We selectively take on work where we can add meaningful value and uphold the visual, ethical, and quality standards we’re known for.

This selectivity allows us to do our best work—consistently.
